We Offer Cartage To And From Our Shop
Whether you’re too busy or your synth won’t fit in your sport’s car, our cartage team is here to help! For a small cartage fee, your gear can be transported to and from your studio to our shop. We have a large SUV generally able to fit about 6 synths, and more if they have cases. Contact us for more information.
We do not recommend using uber/lyft services for gear delivery.
If You’re Shipping Your Synth To Us
You don’t have to be in Los Angeles to get the best service! If you’d like to ship your synth to us, simply use the form above to contact us to discuss the project.
If you don’t want to put your synth in a box, we stock a slew of hard ATA cases that can be shipped to you to ship your synth back to us. If it’s a big synth, such as a CS80, we can assist in planning crateing and delivery. Ship your instruments to the address above. You will be notified when the units arrive to us.
We provide boxes free of charge if you plan on shipping to us.
What To Know Before You Drop Off Your Gear
Our Work: It’s known to be the best around! Check out the “about us” page to learn more about what sets up apart from other LA Synth Shops. With that said, we are a very in demand shop and there’s a couple things you should know before coming in.
Turn Around Times: Can be anywhere from 1-8 weeks. Don’t let that scare you though, as most work that comes through the door can be handled by our incredible group of tech’s and workers in a shorter period of time. Very complex and strange issues must be handled by Rob, and his wait time can often be slightly longer than what’s allocated to other techs. For more info, give us a call. We are very upfront about our backlog and wait times.
Cost: We take a great deal of pride in the work we put into an instrument. We treat every job with the respect it deserves, and see the insides of instruments as a testament to our reputation. You will truly get what you pay for with our shop, and we stand by our work 100%, with no finite guarantee. Our work lasts, period. Our hourly rate is $100 per hour, with $100 paid on drop off which is applied towards the final amount due. You will be given an estimate and notified if it is to increase.
Our Guarantee: Your gear will work, stay in tune, and function as it was intended to. We stand by our work 100%. No 30 day warranties; we will be there for you and your gear if we worked on it. There are some exceptions, as we cannot guarantee other’s parts, or stability of 3rd party modifications. We will be happy to hear you out if you have any concerns and we will always be happy to help.
Our Commitment: We are often and mostly working with high level artists and studios which can often drop a load of 10+ synths on us at a time on a rush order. Please note our turn around can change when these situations arise. We highly encourage calling us to check on turn around status. We’re always happy to answer the phone.
Rush Options: We do offer rush service for a $200 bench fee and an increased labor rate of $125 per hour. A rush fee guarantee’s your instrument is on the bench within a day. Even though we have a vast stock of parts and IC’s, if your unit requires parts to be shipped, you will have to wait or pay for overnight/next day shipping. In less words, the rush fee guarantee’s your synth is worked on without waiting in the backlog, but does not guarantee a specific date of completion. Most of the time though, we have the parts needed to make the repair possible within 2 days.
Our Rights: We want your instrument to be an example of work we are proud of. With that in mind, one right we reserve is the right to re-do work from a previous technician if the work was done poorly. This is especially common with midi modifications and battery replacements. This generally will not add much at all to your bill, and you will be consulted and shown photos if the situation is especially poor. We also reserve the right to finish a job correctly. We will absolutely refuse to half-do a synthesizer. If you’d like to have half of your problems fixed and you don’t mind your synth being out of tune, you may consider looking elsewhere.
